Through the period from early July to October 2025, Gippsland Ports will be implementing a project to replace all mooring piles within the Paynesville Boat Harbour’s.
Gippsland Ports will be undertaking works at the Loch Sport Marina Public Jetty, and shoreline area next to the Seagull Drive Boat Ramp, in April and May 2025.
The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) is updating the local ports regulations. The regulations help local port managers operate local ports safely and effectively so that port users can use and enjoy them. The current regulations are due to expire in mid-2025, so DTP is now reviewing them and proposing updates.
Gippsland Ports has released a Final Local Port Area Plan (Plan) for the Port Welshpool Harbour.

With the provision of funding from the Gippsland Lakes Coordinating Committee, Gippsland Ports has recently completed installation of 10 additional swing moorings for recreational boaters at popular destinations within the Gippsland Lakes.
