Background

Gippsland Ports (GP), as Waterway Manager for the Local Port of Gippsland Lakes, may apply to Safe Transport Victoria (STV) for amendments to the Vessel Operating and Zoning Rules (VOZR) applicable to waters under its management. If STV deems proposed changes to be material, GP is required to engage in public consultation before any changes are made.

GP has applied to STV for three changes to Schedule 104, outlined in detail below. We are asking commercial and recreational boaters, berth holders, local area property owners and other community members to consider the three proposals listed below and provide feedback. Any other reasonable alternatives will be considered.
