Gippsland Ports (GP) are seeking the services of a suitably qualified contractor to scrap and dispose of an abandoned, 18m steel motor cruiser currently stored at Bullock Island Boatyard, Lakes Entrance.
The ex-commercial vessel has been partially converted to a liveaboard and has some building materials and parts on board. The engine is a Detroit 8V91 318hp 2-stroke diesel with an Allison hydraulic transmission and Onan generator. Machinery and fittings on board are in fair condition and could be salvaged and repurposed.
The successful contractor will remove the entire vessel and all components from the Boatyard. The vessel is not to be returned to Port Waters under any circumstances.
Interested parties must complete the Request for Quotation form and submit their proposal before close of business, Thursday 25th January 2024.
