Rebuilt McLoughlins Beach Jetty is now open to users.
In 2022 the Victorian Government invested $18 million to rebuild eight piers and jetties, including the much-loved McLoughlins Beach Jetty in South Gippsland as part of the Victorian State Budget 2022-23.
This important local landmark has now been rebuilt to be wider, safer, and more accessible for locals and visitors to the area, providing access for pedestrians, anglers, and recreational boaters.
The new jetty features Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) piles, beams, deck and handrail, supplied by Wagner CFT. Construction was undertaken by Gippsland Ports in partnership with Carter Marine Group.
