NOTICE ESTABLISHING A SET ASIDE AREA

Gippsland Ports Committee of Management Inc, as the Local Port Manager for the Local Port of Gippsland Lakes make the following notice under Division 3 Regulation 16 (2) (a) of the Port Management (Local Ports) Regulations 2015 (The Regulations)

Following the redevelopment and extension of the Raymond Island Public Jetty, McMillian Straits, Raymond Island the following set aside determinations now apply:

A 17-metre section on the outside face at the eastern end of the outer pontoon, will be set aside as a yellow ‘Loading zone’ area for the purpose of loading and unloading passengers and cargo only.

A 20-metre section on the inside face at the eastern end of the outer pontoon will be set aside as a red “Permit only zone’ for the loading and unloading of passengers by permitted Charter vessels.

The first four berthing pockets out from the shore will be set aside as a red “Permit Only zone” for the purpose of permanent vessel berthing.

In accordance with The Regulations this notice is also published on the Gippsland Ports website. This notice takes effect from the date of publication.
