Gippsland Ports has several projects continually under construction or in the planning stage. This page provides progress reports on these projects, and also on some recently completed.
The Victorian Government, under the State Budget 2022-23, committed $18 million to deliver critical works on local piers and jetties, including the rebuild of McLoughlins Beach Jetty.
Recent completed construction works in East Gippsland include for the Sperm Whale Head jetty; completion of the new Nyerimilang jetty; seawalls replacement at Bullock Island and ongoing wharves and jetties maintenance.
Recent major works in South Gippsland have included the installation of livestock fencing at the RORO at Port Welshpool as well as general jetty and other maintenance works.
Preparation for the annual Major Buoy Exchange program on Corner Inlet is now underway with retrieved buoys now being refurbished at the Paynesville Boatyard.
Gippsland Ports has recently completed works on the Flagstaff Jetty at Lakes Entrance. The rebuild has included replacing the approach and eastern inner arm, mesh re-decking and lighting upgrades.
