DETAILS: Mariners are advised that dredging works shall be conducted within Andersons Inlet at Inverloch from the 30th April 2026 until completion in June/July 2026.
2400m of poly pipeline associated with the dredging operations will be submerged between a position on Inverloch Bar Beach and the Dredge Area. Two ‘Safe Crossing’ areas will be established to allow the safe transit of vessels through Anderson Inlet over the pipeline. The Safe Crossing Areas will be identified by lit port and starboard lateral marker buoys. Mariners are directed to cross the submerged pipeline at these locations only.
Western Safe Crossing:
Port Lateral Buoy: Lat: 38⁰ 38.606’ S Long: 145⁰ 43.162’ E
Starboard Lateral Buoy: Lat: 38⁰ 38.607’ S Long: 145⁰ 43.2’ E
Eastern Safe Crossing:
Port Lateral Buoy: Lat: 38⁰ 38.742’ S Long: 145⁰ 44.349’ E
Starboard Lateral Buoy: Lat: 38⁰ 38.728’ S Long: 145⁰ 44.364’ E
NOTICE TO MARINERS
GIPPSLAND PORTS
During dredging operations:
1. A floating pipeline shall be located within the Dredge Area. The pipeline will be marked with yellow hazard marker buoys 20m from dredge, then at intervals of 30m on float line.
2. A semi submerged pipeline shall be located within the Dredge Area marked in 100m intervals with a yellow buoy and float.
Mariners are directed not to enter the Dredge Area for the duration of the dredge campaign and in particular; not to cross the semi submerged pipeline marked by yellow buoys and lights at 100m intervals
During operations, the dredge will be restricted in its ability to manoeuvre. Mariners are directed to pass on the side of the dredge marked with two black diamond day shapes and two all round green lights.
