DETAILS:      Gippsland Ports has received advice from VicPol Airwing that flotsam from the Fishing Vessel Gabo Bay has been sighted confirming the vessel has sunk.

The approximate position of the sunken vessel is:     Lat. 38° 34.910’ South      Lon. 147° 05.970’ East      Datum WGS84

This position is approximately 5.6nm in approximately 20-23m of water Offshore Woodside Beach.

Mariners are advised to navigate with extra precaution through the area until the vessel can be marked or salvaged. Mariners are requested to report any sightings of flotsam including a GPS position to Gippsland Ports Ph. 0351500500
