Port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert

Location: Entrance to Shoal Inlet – Manns Channel

DATE:  17 December 2019 DETAILS:  Mariners are advised that an apparent abandoned well casing has been identified in Manns Channel upstream of the entrance to Shoal Inlet. The position of the hazard is as follows;

• Lat. 38⁰ 40.497’ South
• Lon. 146⁰ 50. 128’ East                    Datum WGS 84

The hazard has been marked with an Isolated Danger buoy with the light character Fl.(2).4s (see attached photo) Mariners are advised to take extra precaution in the area until the well casing can be removed.
