Location: Kate Kearney inner entrance

DATE:  16 April 2018 DETAILS:  Mariners are advised that, due to changes in channel configuration, the unlit South Cardinal Buoy in the inner entrance of Kate Kearney Entrance Channel is no longer reliable and has been withdrawn from service. The former position of the buoy was; Lat. 38° 41.227’ S

Mariners are advised that the channels in the vicinity of the Kate Kearney Entrance are unreliable in terms of both location and available depth and may at times be subjected to swell strong currents and wind affected sea states which can raise risk levels.
