Gippsland Ports’ manages the Port of Gippsland Lakes and the Port of Corner Inlet & Port Albert.
These ports are accessible for commercial vessels, depending on size and draft of vessels. Charges are applicable to vessels operate as a commercial vessel entering and departing these ports.
Anchorage
Anchorage areas are available at Corner Inlet by prior arrangement with the Port Manager South Gippsland. Fees are available on request.
Port Fees
Charges are applicable to vessels operating as a commercial vessel entering and departing the Port of Gippsland Lakes and the Port of Corner Inlet & Port Albert.
Local Knowledge
The successful completion of the local knowledge certificate is a requirement of masters operating commercial vessels > 12 m and fishing vessels > 35 m in the Port of Gippsland Lakes and the Port of Corner Inlet & Port Albert.
The certificate consists of completing a series of assisted passages and completing an examination. Gippsland Ports is authorised to facilitate the examination and can assist in the process. Transport Safety Victoria has a guide to the process and requirements for all Ports in Victoria.
