Mariners are advised that a Designated Swing Mooring Area has been established in the Franklin Channel, Corner Inlet. The area, situated south of the zone known as the Maritime Security Anchorage, is bounded by the positions noted in the table below:

The area is set aside for the purposes of installing temporary cyclone rated swing moorings for special project vessels. Swing moorings may only be installed in the area following the provision of formal approval from Gippsland Ports.
