Gippsland Ports Committee of Management Inc, as the Local Port Manager for the Local Port of Cornet Inlet
and Port Albert make the following notice under Division 2, Regulation 12 (a) of the Port Management (Local
Ports) Regulations 2025 (The Regulations).
Following the identification of the need to establish a designated Swing Mooring area for large Commercial
vessels in the Port of Corner Inlet and Port Albert, the following set aside determination now applies:
An area of the Franklin Channel, south of the area historically known as the Maritime Security Anchorage,
bounded by the positions noted in the table below, is set aside as a designated swing mooring area for the
purposes of installing temporary, cyclone rated swing moorings for special project vessels.
Swing moorings may only be installed in the area following the provision of formal approval from Gippsland
Ports.

In accordance with The Regulations this notice is also published on the Gippsland Ports website. This notice
