Mariners are advised that the Ausnet Power transmission cable from the Mainland to Raymond Island across the northern end of McMillans Strait has been damaged and requires replacement.

Ausnet advises the replacement works commenced at approximately 09:30 today and has resulted in the need to replace two Power poles prior to erecting the new power transmission cable. This will take time to arrange.

Until further notice, marine traffic can resume as normal through McMillans Strait.
