Mariners are advised that the Barry Beach Marine Terminal operated by Qube Energy on behalf of Esso have engaged the Commercial Dive Company “Southern Divers” to conduct an underwater Sheet Pile Survey Inspection of the Terminal wharf.
Dive Operations shall be conducted from Monday 02 September 2024, until completed, being dependent on Offshore Support Vessel (OSV) Scheduling, weather and other environmental conditions.
The area to be inspected extends from north of No1 Berth, and includes berths No.1, No.2 and No.3, and extending to the sheet pile end south of berth No.3.
The Dive Inspections will be conducted from the Commercial Dive Vessel
“Southern Diver”. The vessel will display the Dive Flag Alpha during all dive operations in the Barry Beach Precinct waters. The Master of the Dive Vessel will ensure constant listening watch is maintained on VHF Ch16 and any planned OSV Movements will be arranged between the Bridge Team of a berthed vessels and the Qube Facility Manager. OSV Movements will then be broadcast in advance of any shipping Movements to the Dive Support Vessel.
Offshore Support Vessel scheduling will determine the available berths for Dive Operations. Dive Operations will only take place when the berths are vacant, or a OSV is Berthed and not operating. Dive Operations will not occur during the arrival or departure of Offshore Support Vessels. Operations at BBMT are carried out in accordance with;
- The approved Qube Energy “Works Management System”.
- The approved Qube Energy “Environment Management System”
